Upcoming LGBT social events around DC, MD & VA

Metro Weekly's Community Calendar highlights important events in the gay community, from alternative social events to volunteer opportunities. Deadline for inclusion is noon, the Friday before publication. Announcement submissions that are not date-specific may run for two weeks, with the option for listing organizations to resubmit if appropriate. Adventuring
outdoors group takes an east 5.4-mile hike with 500 feet of elevation gain through an unusual ecological area northwest of Baltimore, followed by a wine tasting at a nearby vineyard. Bring beverages, lunch, bug spray, hiking boots, about $12 for transportation and trip fees and $10 for the wine tasting. Carpool at 8:30 a.m. from the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station.
